J.D.'s CFP Rankings 11-05

With Week 11 of college football just around the corner, FanDuel has released the point spreads for some of the biggest games. The action will begin Tuesday and wrap up on Saturday with plenty of pivotal games to keep an eye on as we inch closer and closer to bowl season.

Last week saw most of the top 10 teams take care of business with little movement among the contenders. Oklahoma State did notch a 27-24 victory against Oklahoma in what was the last Bedlam contest for the foreseeable future, also serving a crushing blow to the Sooners’ CFP hopes.

This week feature big-time matchups between Michigan and Penn State as well Ole Miss and Georgia and plenty more. You can view the full points spreads for every Week 11 college football game below.

No. 3 Michigan (-5.5) at No. 11 Penn State

Penn State whiffed on taking out Ohio State earlier in the year, but has a chance to go 1-for-2 at home against the Wolverines on Saturday. The Nittany Lions have since won both of their contests following the loss to the Buckeyes, including 51-15 this past week against Maryland.

Michigan has continued to roll through opponents on its way to a 9-0 record, but this is the beginning of a tough stretch to close the season. After facing Penn State, the Wolverines get Maryland before closing out the season against Ohio State in the annual rivalry game that could decide the Big Ten East.

No. 8 Alabama (-10.5) at Kentucky

Details: Noon ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on ESPN
Alabama is firmly in the driver’s seat to win the SEC West after defeating LSU this past week to avenge an overtime loss from last year. The Crimson Tide have two conference games remaining against Kentucky and Auburn as they aim to close out the season with an unblemished league record.

The Wildcats recently snapped a three-game losing streak with a 24-3 win against Mississippi State this past week. If Jalen Milroe can carry over his performance against the Tigers after rushing for 155 yards and four touchdowns, however, Alabama should have no problem here on the road.

No. 18 Utah at No. 5 Washington (-9.5)

Details: 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on FOX
Washington escaped with a 52-42 victory against USC on Saturday to stay undefeated and remain the favorite to win the Pac-12 title. The Huskies offense was explosive behind a big game from running back Dillon Johnson, who finished with 256 yards and four touchdowns.

Washington has typically gotten things done through the air with Michael Penix Jr., but Saturday showed another dimension to things. They’ll now run into a tough Utah defense that ranks first in the Pac-12 with 15.9 points allowed per game.

No. 17 Tennessee (-1.5) at No. 12 Missouri

Details: 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11
Missouri gave No. 2 Georgia all it could muster in a 30-21 loss this past week. The Tigers were tied at 10 by halftime, but gave up 14 points in the third quarter as the Bulldogs pulled away for the win.

Still, Eli Drinkwitz will hope his team can bounce back as it begins a stretch of three winnable games to close the season. That begins on the road against a Tennessee squad with which Missouri is tied with for second place in the SEC East.

Miami at No. 4 Florida State (-14.5)

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on ABC
Florida State is just three wins away from finishing the regular season undefeated and will hope to avoid an upset on its road to the College Football Playoff. The Seminoles recently overcame Pittsburgh this past week on the road behind 360 yards passing and two total touchdowns from quarterback Jordan Travis.

Now they’ll aim to keep rolling against a Miami team that has lost three of its past five games. The Hurricanes most recently fell on the road against NC State in a game in which they failed to score a single touchdown.

No. 10 Ole Miss at No. 2 Georgia (-11.5)

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on ESPN
Georgia handled its business this past week against Missouri to remain in the driver’s seat to once again win the SEC East. Still, the Bulldogs run into another tough conference foe this week as Lane Kiffin and the high-powered Ole Miss offense come to Athens.

The Rebels are winners of three straight and used a big day from running back Quinshon Judkins to overcome Texas A&M this past week. Judkins may have a more difficult time against a Georgia defense that is giving up just 100.3 rushing yards per game entering Saturday, however.

No. 7 Texas (-10) at TCU

Ricardo B. Brazziell/American-Statesman / USA TODAY NETWORK

Details: 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on ABC
Texas now finds itself tied for first place in the Big 12 standings after Oklahoma State defeated Oklahoma in Bedlam this past week. The Longhorns escaped in a 33-30 overtime victory against Kansas State after their defense came up with the game-winning stop to make it out of the extra period.

The Longhorns have been playing without starting quarterback Quinn Ewers for the past two weeks, though there is a possibility he could return against TCU. Maalik Murphy threw for 248 yards, one touchdowns and an interception in his place this past week.

Florida at No. 14 LSU (-14)

Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on SEC Network
LSU has a big question mark entering this week after Jayden Daniels left last week’s loss to Alabama with a concussion. His status will certainly be one to keep an eye on as the Tigers return home hoping to get back on track against Florida.

Garrett Nussmeier entered the game in place of Daniels following the injury and finished 5-of-10 passing for 53 yards. He would likely again get the start should Daniels be forced to sit out, though LSU fans will be holding their breath that the quarterback is healthy.

Duke at North Carolina (-10.5)

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on ACC Network
Historically two basketball blue bloods, Duke and North Carolina have also had plenty of success on the football field this season. Although they’ve fallen off a bit in recent weeks, the Tar Heels and Blue Devils enter the game tied for fourth place in the ACC standings.

UNC got back on track this week after back-to-back losses to win 59-7 against Campbell and is always a threat offensively behind quarterback Drake Maye. Duke will again be without quarterback Riley Leonard and should again lean on its rushing attack with the duo of Jacquez Moore and Jordan Waters.

No. 20 USC at No. 6 Oregon (-14.5)

Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

Details: 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 11 on FOX
Oregon is now in sole possession of second place in the Pac-12, which would set up a rematch of the thrilling game against Washington in the conference championship. USC now has three losses on the season, but can still play spoiler to the Ducks’ title hopes in this spot.

The Trojans recently fired defensive coordinator Alex Grinch after giving up 52 points in a loss to the Huskies this past week. We’ll see whether they can find any improvement this week against a Ducks squad that just put up 63 points in a win against Cal.
