College football analyst David Pollack released his updated College Football Playoff projection after Week 10 of the season. He overhauled his bracket after Miami’s upset loss too!

Pollack revealed his 12-team bracket on his podcast: See Ball Get Ball. We have plenty of college football left, but this bracket looks pretty darn fun!

So, let’s dive into the latest College Football Playoff projections as we roll through November. We start with the first matchup in the first round.

College Football Playoff First Round Game #1

No. 12 Memphis at No. 5 Georgia

The Tigers get the final seed in Pollack’s College Football Playoff projections. They’ll have to hit the road at Georgia, which is on the precipice of a first round bye.

Georgia can still win the SEC, but the conference is so loaded right now. For now, the Bulldogs have to settle for a home game in the first round.

No. 11 Virginia at No. 6 Ole Miss

Virginia is the projected ACC champion for Pollack. With that, they’ll make the College Football Playoff for the first time, but have to hit the road.

Based on the current rankings and the resumes, Ole Miss should cruise to a home game at this point. But this is certainly an intriguing matchup now that Miami is predicted to be out.

College Football Playoff First Round Game #3

No. 10 Oregon at No. 7 Texas Tech

Oregon is slated to go on the road right now but still make the College Football Playoff. The Ducks have a tough end to their schedule, but it’ll certainly boost the resume: Iowa, Minnesota, USC and Washington.

Texas Tech is Pollack’s projected Big 12 champion, but it’s going to be razor close with BYU (more on them in a second). The Red Raiders actually play them this weekend!

College Football Playoff First Round Game #4

No. 9 Notre Dame at No. 8 BYU

Notre Dame has won six games in a row since dropping matchups to Miami and Texas A&M. But CJ Carr, Jeremiyah Love and an intense defense made this team one of the hottest in college football.

BYU is still undefeated and could actually get a home game in the College Football Playoff despite not winning the Big 12. That’s how close it’ll be vs. Texas Tech. Based on current projections, they win the regular season matchup but lose to the Red Raiders in the title game. That’s one scenario.

No. 1 Indiana vs. BYU/Notre Dame

Pollack had Indiana No. 1 last week and nothing’s changed. They dominated Maryland 55-10 and just continue to blowout everyone in their path and still beat the top tier teams too. Next up is a road date at Penn State.

Can the Hoosiers keep it rolling? If they do, they might be in position to win the whole darn thing. It’d be stunning to not see them in the College Football Playoff for the second straight year.

No. 2 Ohio State vs. Texas Tech/Oregon

Ohio State could get the No. 2 seed even by going 12-1 and not winning the Big Ten. It’s just going to depend on how the College Football Playoff committee processes the resumes.

Julian Sayin is in the Heisman conversation with his stellar play at quarterback this year. This could end up being a more complete team than last year’s national champions!

No. 3 Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss/Virginia

Texas A&M is the projected SEC Champion in Pollack’s College Football Playoff projections. The Aggies are currently undefeated under Mike Elko this season.

PLaying Ole Miss in the second round would be an insane matchup and fair or not, they’d be heavier favorites over Virginia. Their path to a potential national title is interesting in this bracket.

No. 4 Alabama vs. Georgia/Memphis

Alabama is the runner up in the SEC in this College Football Playoff projection. Pollack still gives them a first round bye even at a hypothetical 11-2 this year.

Kalen DeBoer has this team rolling right now with seven straight wins. Not only that, they have a Heisman contender in Ty Simpson at QB.
