Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle five-star tight end Duce Robinson announced on his Instagram story that he will be committing on March 30. Robinson is the final 2023 five-star prospect to commit.

Robinson is the No. 23 overall recruit and No. 1 tight end in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Georgia, Texas and USC are the front-runners to land a commitment according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with the Trojans firmly in the lead at 68%.

While he was originally expected to sign by February 1, Robinson ultimately postponed his decision as he mulled over his top schools, as well as his potential MLB Draft status. In addition to being a top-flight football prospect, Robinson is a potential first-round pick in this summer’s MLB Draft, adding an extra later to his recruitment.

As a senior Robinson caught 84 passes for 1,614 yards and 14 touchdowns.

“You never really know what you are getting yourself into when the recruiting cycle starts,” Robinson told On3 in mid-March. “I don’t know if it has necessarily been tougher than expected, but it has taken me more time to figure things out. With all that is going on, we are letting everything play out to get to the point where I feel strong enough about a school to make that decision.

… I have still had communication with those same schools, GeorgiaTexas and USC. That hasn’t changed. We have just had to think about everything and then make the best decision. I know we are getting there.”

Robinson currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $226K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
