College Football Predictions: ESPN picks winners of every Top 25 game in Week 8

The latest college football predictions are in for Week 8 of the regular season from ESPN’s FPI calculations.

No. 1 Georgia is off this week, so all eyes are on the rest of the top teams in the country to see if they can keep up. There are a couple of big time games between ranked teams that could shift the landscape.

Let’s dive into the latest predictions from ESPN’s FPI for all of the ranked teams in action.

No. 2 Michigan vs. Michigan State

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC)
Spread: Michigan (-24)
FPI Prediction: Michigan – 93.1%

Michigan is absolutely rolling through the Big Ten schedule right now and are expected to do so again in East Lansing. The Spartans blew a 24-6 lead in the fourth quarter to Rutgers last week.

No. 16 Duke vs. No. 4 Florida State

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
Spread: Florida State (-14)
FPI Prediction: Florida State – 80%

A ranked ACC matchup in primetime? Yes please. The Seminoles can continue their reign over the ACC this year with another win. Duke will need to pull out all the stops potentially without Riley Leonard.

No. 7 Penn State vs. No. 3 Ohio State

Spread: Ohio State (-4)
FPI Prediction: Ohio State – 63.5%

This is arguably the biggest game of the weekend due to its College Football Playoff implications. The winner gets the inside track to try and take out Michigan later this season.

No. 17 Tennessee vs. No. 11 Alabama

Spread: Alabama (-9.5)
FPI Prediction: Alabama – 76.5%

The Third Saturday in October could be epic just like last season. Both offenses aren’t as explosive as last year, so who will make the least amount of mistakes?

No. 14 Utah vs. No. 18 USC

Spread: USC (-6.5)
FPI Prediction: USC – 69.5%

USC dropped down the polls after a loss to Notre Dame, a blowout one. Utah might not have Cam Rising, but the Utes own the series as of late, including two big wins last season.
