Joel Klatt reveals pick for Texas A&M at Missouri
Texas A&M will hit the road for a pivotal Week 11 matchup against Missouri at Memorial Stadium in Columbia. It’s a fascinating showdown renewed between two SEC programs with plenty on the line, as both teams come off their bye week and look to make a statement down the stretch.
The Aggies enter the contest undefeated at 8-0, riding a wave of momentum under head coach Mike Elko. They had a week off to rest and regroup after an impressive start to the season. Missouri also got a week to reset, though the Tigers still carry the sting of a 17-10 loss to Vanderbilt on Oct. 25, a game that slowed their midseason surge and raised questions about their potential.
The recent history between these two teams has heavily favored Texas A&M. Last season’s meeting in College Station was all Aggies, as they jumped out to a commanding 24-0 lead in the first half and cruised to a 41-10 victory.
Now, Missouri is hoping to flip the script at home. Revenge and redemption are both in play for the Tigers, who’ll need their young quarterback Matt Zollers to rise to the occasion against one of the SEC’s most complete defenses.

FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt broke down the matchup and explained why he’s leaning toward Texas A&M to keep rolling: “If I’m A&M, I’m going to lean into my exact offensive game plan, continue to allow Marcel Reid to develop in the passing game, and get the running game going,” Klatt said, via The Joel Klatt Show.
“And then on defense, if I’m Mike Elko, I load the box. You’ve got a true freshman quarterback, and the one area where Missouri could attack you is running the football. Force the game on the quarterback. If I’m Mike Elko, that’s what I’m doing.”
Ultimately, Klatt believes the Aggies’ defensive structure and balanced offense will carry them through: “I like A&M in this ball game. 28-20, they cover the 7.5 spread,” he predicted. “Marcel Reed, Mike Elko, Cashius Howell all continue to roll. I really like this team getting to the SEC Championship game. I can’t wait until they play Texas in the last week of the season.”
