Kansas State lands commitment from Bowling Green transfer Marcus Johnson

Bowling Green transfer Marcus Johnson has committed to Kansas State, he told On3.
The 6-foot-7 senior forward averaged 16.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game this season. He shot 43% from the field, 39.4% from three, and nearly 90% from the free throw line. The big man had an impressive performance against Michigan State, where he tallied 23 points on the Spartans.
Johnson played the first three years of his college career at Wheeling University, a Division II program in West Virginia. During the 2023-24 season, he averaged 21.6 points a game for Wheeling.

A native of Akron, Ohio attended St. Vincent-St. Mary, the same high school as LeBron James. Johnson led his team to back-to-back State Championship in 2016-17 and 2017-18.
