The latest national championship odds are here and they saw a shakeup following Week 9 of college football. All odds are courtesy of BetMGM.

Some big teams were on bye weeks as we get ready to turn the calendar to November. But, teams like Indiana and Texas A&M made big statements. And even Ole Miss!

Without further ado, let’s dive into the latest national championship odds. We’ll start with the favorite.

Ohio State (+250)

The Buckeyes remain the heavy betting favorite to win the national championship. In fact, this week’s odds are eye-opening compared to the next best team.

Ryan Day’s team is firing on all cylinders following a bye week. This team is the favorite until further notice.

Indiana (+700)

Indiana smashed UCLA on Saturday to improve to 8-0 and keep pace, well maybe get ahead of Ohio State in the Big Ten. They have the second shortest national championship odds right now.

At this pace, it’ll be the Hoosiers and Buckeyes for the Big Ten crown. Heck, what about for the national title?! Curt Cignetti can do no wrong right now.

Alabama (+800)

Alabama won its seventh game in a row, even if it was a tight one over South Carolina. They’ve been rolling lately, so the Crimson Tide can take solace that they won on the road with a little adversity.

They’re firmly in the national championship conversation and perhaps the SEC’s best team right now, at least according to Vegas. We’ll see how the final third of the season plays out.

Texas A&M (+900)

The Aggies just keep on winning as they are now 8-0 on the season. They dominated LSU on the road and Mike Elko has a case for Coach of the Year.

Not only that, Texas A&M is firmly in the national championship race. The odds reflect they are on the short list right now as we get to November.

Georgia (+1,000)

The Bulldogs had a bye week but are still in the top five among national championship contenders. Sounds about right when you talk about Kirby Smart and crew!

This team is very good, but they still have games against Texas and Georgia Tech to end the year. Still, they have the head to head over Ole Miss, but not against Alabama. It’ll be interesting to see how the SEC race shakes out.

Oregon (+1,000)

Oregon has bounced back from the loss to Indiana with a blowout of Rutgers and a close win over Wisconsin. Maybe take both results with a grain of salt.

The Ducks keep winning though. They’re in the thick of things when it comes to the national championship, considering they’re one of the most talented teams in the country.

Notre Dame (+1,000)

The Fighting Irish also had off this week but have won five games in a row. Notre Dame nearly won the national championship last year, but fell short to Ohio State.

It’ll take another big effort to make a run this year, as in, probably never losing again! But, Notre Dame has quite the collection of talent that could be poised for a run.

Miami (+1,500)

The Hurricanes beat down Stanford 42-7, outscoring the Cardinal 35-0 in the second half. After the Louisville loss, it was easy to dismiss Miami as a national championship favorite.

Still, this team is 6-1 on the season and near the top of the ACC. There’s plenty of football to play, but it looks like Mario Cristobal’s crew bounced back when they needed to.

Ole Miss (+2,000)

The Rebels are lower on this list of national championship contenders but just beat Oklahoma on the road. Ole Miss is 7-1 and Lane Kiffin is the hottest name in college football.

Sure, Florida and LSU likely want him as their new head coach, but Kiffin might have his best team in Oxford. The SEC and/or College Football Playoff crown is in play!

Texas Tech (+2,000)

Texas Tech actually has much shorter odds than Big 12 leader BYU. The Red Raiders just blanked Oklahoma State 42-0 over the weekend to improve to 7-1.

Will Hammond is the guy moving forward at QB by the way, so the offense is still in good hands. A potential Big 12 title game preview against the Cougars takes place on November 8th.

National Championship odds after Week 9

Vanderbilt (+2,500)
Texas (+4,000)
Tennessee (+5,000)
Oklahoma (+5,000)
Michigan (+8,000)
USC (+10,000)
Louisville (+10,000)
Georgia Tech (+10,000)
BYU (+12,500)
