On Thursday, the SEC released its preseason all-conference teams, along with the preseason Player of the Year, as voted on by the league’s coaches. Similar to the media vote earlier this month, the coaches named Kentucky guard Otega Oweh the SEC Preseason Player of the Year.

The SEC is coming off a historic season after having 14 of its teams reach the NCAA Tournament last season, the most ever from a single conference. Auburn and Florida each reached the Final Four and the Gators took home the national championship.

In turn, Florida has three players on the preseason all-conference teams, tied for the most with Arkansas. Look below to see the 2025-26 preseason All-SEC teams.

All-SEC First Team

Alabama guard Labaron Philon opted to return for a second season at Alabama despite having an explosive debut campaign last season. As a freshman, Philon averaged 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, while shooting 45.2% from the field and 31.5% from beyond the arc.

Philon appeared in all 37 of Alabama’s games and made 29 starts. He ranked fourth in the SEC in assist-to-turnover ratio with a 2.2. Now, he’ll look to step into a leading role for Alabama this season.

Tahaad Pettiford, Auburn

Tahaad Pettiford is another player who had a breakout freshman season. Pettiford played in all 38 of Auburn’s games in the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 11.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game on 36.6% shooting from 3-point range.

Pettiford finished the year with the fourth most assists ever in a single season by an Auburn freshman. For his efforts, he was named an All-SEC Freshman Team member. He’ll look to help usher Auburn into a new era under first-year head coach Steven Pearl this season.

Alex Condon, Florida

Florida fans were left holding their breath while Alex Condon went through the NBA Draft process this offseason. Nonetheless, the standout forward ultimately decided to run it back in Gainesville. He’s expected to be one of the best frontcourt players in the country this season.

He was pivotal to the Gators’ national title run last season, averaging 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Moreover, he shot an efficient 49.3% from the floor. Condon led the Gators with 49 blocks last season as well.

Otega Oweh, Kentucky

After spending two years at Oklahoma, Otega Oweh transferred to Kentucky ahead of last season. He averaged a team-high 16.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 49.2% from the field and 35.5% from beyond the arc.

The 6-foot-4 standout scored double-digits in the Wildcats’ first 26 games of the season, and all but three of his 36 appearances. For his efforts, he was named an All-SEC Second-Team selection by the league’s coaches. Evidently, coaches believe Oweh will be even better this season.

Josh Hubbard, Mississippi State

It’s only taken two years for Josh Hubbard to become one of the most respected players in the SEC. Last season, Hubbard gave opponents headaches, averaging 18.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

In the process, Hubbard became the only player in Mississippi State history to notch at least 600 points and 100 assists in same season. This season, Hubbard will look to help Mississippi State advance past the first round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time under head coach Chris Jans.
