South Carolina transfer Devin Carter commits to Providence

South Carolina transfer Devin Carter has committed to Providence, he told On3 on Sunday.
The 6-foot-3 freshman guard averaged 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in his lone season with the Gamecocks. Carter entered the transfer portal last Month after men’s head basketball coach Frank Martin was fired.
“Coach Cooley has easily recruited me the hardest that I’ve ever been recruited and that stood out,” Carter said to On3. “The relationship I made with him in such a short timespan is crazy. I can’t wait to put on a Friar uniform and get started.”
