Week 2 of the 2022 college football season is one that fans all over the nation are going to remember for a long time. Whether it was four previously AP Top 25 ranked teams losing to unranked opponents or one of the many high-profile matchups over the weekend, there was plenty of excitement. After all of the Week 2 action, the updated USA Today AFCA Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings have been released.

There is some pretty notable movement within the Coaches Poll after Week 2 compared to the rankings that came out last week.

That movement stems from seven previously ranked teams losing, three of which came in matchups between two top 25 teams. Baylor (previously ranked No. 9 in the AP Top 25) and BYU (previously No. 21) faced off late on Saturday night, with the Cougars coming away with a 26-20 victory in double overtime. Florida (previously No. 12) also hosted Kentucky (previously No. 20) in The Swamp, but the Wildcats prevailed with a convincing 26-16 win. Pitt (previously No. 17) and Tennessee (previously No. 24) also battled each other, with the Vols coming away with a thrilling 34-27 victory in overtime.

Two top ten teams also lost in Week 2, with Texas A&M (previously No. 6) falling to Appalachian State in College Station and Notre Dame (previously No. 8) dropping to 0-2 with a disappointing defeat at the hands of Marshall. Wisconsin (previously No. 19) also dropped a close game against Washington State, and Houston (previously No. 25) fell in double overtime to Texas Tech.

All that to mention, all eyes were on a big-time contest in Austin on Saturday between Alabama and Texas. Alabama entered the week ranked No. 1, while Texas was just on the outside looking in. The Longhorns played a tough game, and even after losing starting quarterback Quinn Ewers to a shoulder injury in the first half, fought until the bitter end. Alabama ultimately kicked a late field goal to pick up a 20-19 victory.

After all of the action in Week 2, the Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings feature some new faces and a lot of adjustments. Here is a full look at the rankings.
