Vanderbilt is expected to hire Jayden Everett as running backs coach, sources tell On3.
Everett was Tulsa’s running backs coach the last two seasons. Under Everett, Deneric Prince developed into an NFL prospect and finished this season with 729 rushing yards in eight games.
Aided by Everett, the Golden Hurricane ranked third in the AAC in rushing in 2021 and had three different running backs with more than 520 rushing yards.

Before Tulsa, Everett was the running backs coach at Akron (2019-20), Central Michigan (2017-18) and Indiana State (2013-16).
Everett will be the replacement for Norval McKenzie, who was recently hired as the new running backs coach at Georgia Tech.
