Week 11 JP Poll: Top 20 power rankings see big-time shakeup after thrilling college football slate
With just a few weeks left in the 2025 college football season, conference races are getting even more interesting. The Week 10 slate was another thrilling one, and Josh Pate revealed the updated JP Poll ahead of Week 11.
The top of the JP Poll stayed the same. Ohio State got a resounding victory over Penn State in Columbus to maintain its hold on the top spot in the power ratings, and Indiana cruised past Maryland to stay put at No. 2. In fact, the top four teams stayed put.
The Week 11 slate includes more marquee matchups as we get into crunch time. Here is the full updated JP Poll, as revealed on Josh Pate’s College Football Show.
1. Ohio State (-)
Following another dominant performance in Week 10, Ohio State stood pat as the No. 1 team in the JP Poll. The Buckeyes look the part of the top team in the country and held that spot in Tuesday’s first College Football Playoff rankings reveal, as well.
Julian Sayin continues to impress at quarterback, and he has a talented wide receiver duo to help him out, as well. Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate are emerging as a top one-two punch at the position, and Ohio State’s offense is firing on all cylinders heading into Week 11.
2. Indiana (-)

Still at No. 2 in the JP Poll, Indiana once again didn’t leave any room for doubt in Week 10. The Hoosiers flew past Maryland in College Station to stay undefeated on the season and continue their dominance.
Fernando Mendoza has been impressive at quarterback, but the IU defense is emerging as the biggest strength. The Hoosiers head into Week 11 with the third-best scoring defense in the nation, holding teams to just 10.8 points per game.
3. Texas A&M (-)
Also holding strong from last week, Texas A&M remains the No. 3 team in the JP Poll. The Aggies were on a bye week after getting a huge victory over LSU at Tiger Stadium in Week 9.
Texas A&M heads into the final stretch as the last undefeated team standing in the SEC and squarely in the mix for the College Football Playoff. The Aggies return to action on Saturday against Missouri.
4. Alabama (-)
Following their bye in Week 10, Alabama remained at No. 4 in the JP Poll. The Crimson Tide have been red-hot since a season-opening loss and look to carry that momentum into the last few games of the 2025 season.
Ty Simpson continues to impress at quarterback, as well, as he stays at the forefront of the Heisman Trophy conversation. Alabama will have a high-profile matchup on tap this week as new-look LSU comes to T-Town.
5. Oregon (+2)

Up two spots from last week, Oregon is now in the Top 10 of the JP Poll. The Ducks are the No. 5 team in the power ratings heading into Week 11 after the bye.
Oregon will face a tough task on Saturday, though. Dan Lanning and Co. will head to Iowa City to take on Iowa and its stout defense, which could make for quite the chess match.
6. Ole Miss (-1)
Despite a win over South Carolina last time out, Ole Miss dropped one spot in the latest JP Poll. The Rebels are now just outside the Top 5, checking in at No. 6.
Lane Kiffin’s group looks to be in strong position for its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance as it heads into the final three games. A non-conference break awaits this week as Ole Miss will take on The Citadel.

7. Georgia (-1)
Also down a spot despite a win, Georgia is now at No. 7 in the JP Poll. It wasn’t easy for the Bulldogs in last week’s World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party game, but they held on to get the victory over Florida in Jacksonville.
UGA has now rattled off four wins in a row since a home loss to Alabama and will look to keep it rolling this week. The Bulldogs will head to Starkville on Saturday to take on Mississippi State.
8. Texas (+3)

Now back in the Top 10, Texas had quite the performance on offense in last week’s win over Vanderbilt. It came at a critical time, too, as the Longhorns try to stay in the College Football Playoff picture.
Arch Manning had an impressive day to lead the charge, throwing for 328 yards and three touchdowns. Texas has now won four games in a row heading into the bye week, but a matchup with Georgia awiats next time out.
9. Notre Dame (-1)
Even though Notre Dame got a win over Boston College in Week 10, the Fighting Irish are down a spot in the JP Poll. They are now at No. 9 as November heats up.
It wasn’t easy for Notre Dame last time out, but a 94-yard touchdown run from Jeremiyah Love helped seal a victory over Boston College. A historic rivalry matchup is on tap this week as the Irish welcome Navy to South Bend for a primetime affair.
10. Utah (+2)
A newcomer rounds out the Top 10 of the Week 11 JP Poll. Utah is up two spots following last week’s statement win at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
The Utes cruised past Cincinnati, which entered with an undefeated record in Big 12 play, to make the conference race even more interesting. They’re also one of the first teams out of the projected College Football Playoff bracket as they try to potentially snag a spot in the field.
