Ohio State four-star quarterback commit Brady Edmunds spent Tuesday at a Columbus children’s hospital. During the trip, he donated toys and books using NIL dollars, he shared via social media.

Edmunds and his family visited Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he spoke with staff members and made donations. The elite 2027 quarterback announced his commitment to Ohio State in December 2024 and said he hopes to continue working with the hospital when he joins the Buckeyes.

Edmunds’ donations came from the hospital’s wish list and includes toys, books and clothes. His visit came after another one-day recruiting camp at Ohio State.

“My family and I had a great day at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus,” Edmunds wrote on X. “I spent some time with the awesome staff and donated a bunch of toys and books for the kids. I’m looking forward to continuing my relationship with @nationwidekids over the coming years!”

Edmunds is one of the top quarterback prospects from the 2027 cycle. A product of Huntington Beach (Calif.), he is the No. 46 overall player and No. 3-ranked quarterback from the class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Repped by Athletes First, Edmunds also has a $368,000 On3 NIL Valuation.

Late last week, Edmunds attended his first one-day camp at Ohio State and spoke with Lettermen Row’s Alex Gleitman. He got to work with new quarterbacks coach Billy Fessler and said his relationship with the Buckeyes remains strong.

“It was awesome and a solid day,” Edmunds told Lettermen Row. “I definitely got coached a lot. That was my first time working with Coach Fessler like that and it was fun. I’ve never felt better about Ohio State.”

As a sophomore at Huntington Beach in 2024, Brady Edmunds threw for 3,222 yards and 36 touchdowns while completing 62.4% of his passes. His commitment to Ohio State came early in his recruitment as Ryan Day picked up an early 2027 win on the trail.

“With the play-calling abilities that coach Day has, it’s nice to have an offensive-minded head coach,” Edmunds told On3’s Chad Simmons upon his commitment to the Buckeyes. “There are some coaches that don’t understand the quarterback position as well. They’ll get on you for certain things, but they don’t understand it as well as other coaches. I feel like coach Day understands it.”
