
<p><a href="https://www.on3.com/db/amari-rodgers-4213/">Amari Rodgers</a> was drafted in the <a href="https://www.on3.com/nfl/draft/2021/">third round</a> of the <a href="https://www.on3.com/nfl/draft/2021/">2021 NFL Draft</a> after four great seasons at <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/clemson-tigers/">Clemson</a></strong>. Now, the former Tiger is finally on the board in the <a href="https://www.on3.com/category/pros/news/">pros</a>.</p>



<p>In his second game as a Houston Texas, <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/jeff-driskel-59495/">Jeff Driskel</a> rifled a pass to Rodgers near the endzone. He was able to adjust around <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/donovan-wilson-38279/">Donovan Wilson</a> and bring in the 28-yard score.</p>

<p>Rodgers caught 181 passes for 2,144 yards and 15 touchdowns during his time in Death Valley. He then spent the last season and a half with Green Bay after the Packers picked him in the draft. The franchise released him back in mid-November, Houston picked him up off waivers just a day later, and now he’s already making his presence felt with the Texans.</p>

<p>The Detroit Lions activated <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/jameson-williams-56104/">Jameson Williams</a> last week as the former <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/alabama-crimson-tide/">Alabama</a></strong> receiver and <a href="https://www.on3.com/nfl/draft/2022/">No. 12 overall pick in last year’s draft</a> had made enough progress in his ACL rehab <a href="https://www.on3.com/news/detroit-lions-activating-jameson-williams-nfl-debut-against-jacksonville-jaguars-torn-acl/">to return to the field</a>. However, it’s hard to imagine they thought he’d make such a big impact so early on.</p>



<p>That’s because, on the first catch of his <a href="https://www.on3.com/category/pros/news/">pro</a> career, Williams also recorded his first NFL touchdown. Busted coverage from the Vikings left Williams wide open for the 41-yard score that put Detroit up 7-0 over Minnesota.</p>

<p>Williams started his career at <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/ohio-state-buckeyes/">Ohio State</a></strong> before <a href="https://www.on3.com/transfer-portal/">transferring</a> to Tuscaloosa for one season. He then finished his Crimson Tide career with 79 catches for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns. However, his stock took a slight hit after he tore his ACL in the 2021 national championship game against <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/georgia-bulldogs/">Georgia</a></strong>.</p>



<p>He landed in Detroit during the <a href="https://www.on3.com/category/nfl-draft/news/">draft</a> and, after months of rehab, it seems like the future for Williams is as bright as previously thought now that he’s back in action.</p>
