Lane Johnson injury update: Eagles OT questionable to return vs. Rams
Philadelphia Eagles OT Lane Johnson exited the game vs. the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter with a neck injury. He was questionable to return per ESPN’s Tim McManus.
Immediately after he left, the Eagles struggled on an offensive drive, leading 7-3 over the Rams. Backup RT Matt Pryor filled in, but gave up pressure and a sack.
FOX sideline reporter Pam Oliver had more on Johnson during the broadcast. He was still in the medical tent as Philadelphia punted back to LA.
“Lane Johnson, such a valuable member of the font of Eagles’ offensive line is hurt,” Oliver said. “Johnson has a neck injury and is questionable to return. He remains in the medical tent where he’s been for quite a while.”
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zangaro reported Johnson exited the medical tent shortly afterwards. However, Johnson was seated on the bench without a helmet.

The FOX broadcast showed Johnson on the bench during Philadelphia’s next offensive possession with the team trailing 10-7. QB Jalen Hurts was sacked for the second time in the game as the first quarter ended.
The Eagles’ offensive line has been in the news this week in relation to the “tush push,” the Eagles’ version of the QB sneak. With it becoming, reportedly anyway, more difficult to officiate, referees could be cracking down on the Eagles’ play.
There was already an apparent missed false start on the Eagles’ first scoring drive, based on slow motion replay anyway. But no other instances were shown.
The Tush Push has been a hot topic since last offseason. In May, NFL owners came up two votes shy of banning the play. The proposal to ban the Tush Push was created by the Green Bay Packers, who lost to the Eagles in the NFC Wild Card Round of the 2024 playoffs.
