The Las Vegas Raiders are signing former Green Bay Packers LB Quay Walker, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. Kyle McCarthy and Todd France of the Athletes First negotiated the deal.

The deal spans three years and is worth $40.5 million with $28 million guaranteed. His signing was announced alongside fellow Georgia Bulldogs alum Nakobe Dean, who signed a three-year deal as well worth $36 million and $20 million guaranteed.

The Packers drafted Walker with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. In four seasons in Green Bay, he’s amassed 469 tackles, 19 QB hits, nine sacks and three forced fumbles.

As for Dean, he spent his first four NFL seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He hasn’t been as productive as Walker due to injury, but he’s still totaled 226 tackles and 7.5 sacks over his career. In 2024, Dean played in 15 regular season games and amassed 128 total tackles that season.

Walker and Dean join CB Eric Stokes, WR Jalen Nailor, DE Kwity Paye, C Lyler Linderbaum and DE Malcolm Koonce as Raiders signees as of this writing. They also traded for Bill CB Taron Johnson over the weekend.

Walker should be an instant-impact performer for the Raiders, as he was for the Packers when he entered the NFL highly regarded back in 2022. He steadily improved throughout his time at Georgia, accumulating 125 total tackles and 5.0 sacks for a loaded Bulldogs squad over four seasons which culminated in a national championship win during his final year.

In four NFL seasons, Walker has yet to amass less than 100 tackles in a single season — even doing so in just 13 games in 2024. This past season, Walker totaled a career-best 128 tackles while helping anchor a Packers defense that helped lead Green Bay to a third consecutive postseason appearance.

Now, he’s heading to Las Vegas to team up with former teammate Nakobe Dean. In addition, the Raiders also hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, so it’s clear the franchise is looking to turn things around in short order with these signings.
