
<p>Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty three-star defensive lineman <strong><a href="https://www.on3.com/db/grant-buckey-46408/">Grant Buckey</a></strong> has flipped his commitment from USC to UCLA, he announced on Thursday. </p>



<p>Buckey previously committed to the Trojans in June over offers from both UCLA and Cal. </p>



<p>“I’m excited to announce after careful consideration I will be flipping my commitment to UCLA!” Buckey wrote on Twitter. “Cant wait to see what the future holds! GO BRUINS”</p>

<p>The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder is the No. 525 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 57 defensive lineman and the No. 39 senior recruit in the state of California. </p>



<p>His flip drops the Trojans to 19 overall commitments in the 2023 cycle, with the Trojans’ class remaining at No. 14 nationally in the <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/consensus-team/football/2023/">On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings</a>. </p>
