4-star EDGE Khamari Brooks sets commitment date to choose Alabama or Georgia
That time is coming for Khamari Brooks. On Monday, June 23 at 3pm ET, the four-star EDGE out of Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee will announce his commitment between Alabama and Georgia.
Clemson, Texas, USC and others were in the mix at different times, but this has been a showdown between two SEC powers for some time.
On May 30, Brooks took an official visit to Georgia.
“The overall vibe was great during the visit,” Brooks said after that trip. “The feeling for me on campus just felt like a school that I could really see myself being at and spending the rest of my years in college at and having a great time.
“One of the biggest highlights was spending time with family and seeing the love they were showing them. Another was my meetings with the coaches and the great talks we had. Also was getting to spend time around the players was something else that stood out.”

A week after visiting Athens, Brooks returned to Tuscaloosa.
“Alabama has stayed consistent with me,” Brooks said in a recent interview. “They were one of my first offers and ever since the day they offered the communication has remained the same.
“They make me feel like I am a priority. They never stopped recruiting after offering me. Some schools may slow down and then pick things back up, but they’ve always been very consistent.”
What will it come down to?
“My commitment will be about where I see myself best fitting in and where I can play at my best,” Brooks said.
