Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton three-star tight end Landen Miree has made his college decision.

Arizona State has landed the commitment of the playmaker from the Midwest. Coach Kenny Dillingham and his staff were consistent throughout this recruitment that did take some twists and turns.

Miree also took official visits to Washington, North Carolina, Cincinnati and Florida State. At one point Washington appeared to have the inside track on the recruitment but that died down quickly.

It was Florida State who the Sun Devils beat out in the end.

“The path to playing time was a big factor on why Arizona State won,” Miree said. The coaches were the most real throughout the whole process and me and my family love Tempe.”

When Miree dropped his top group and official visits in early April Arizona State didn’t make that cut. But the Sun Devils surged and got the job done in the end.

Now Miree is heading off to the desert to play for a rising Arizona State program. The team won the Big 12 and made a College Football Playoff appearance last season. The team should contend for a playoff spot again this season.

“I think expectations aren’t aren’t real to us, because we don’t talk about them,” Dillingham said at Big 12 Media Days. “I don’t care if we’re picked to win nine games, two games, one game, ten, it’s irrelevant. Be the best version of us, and if the best version of us wins three games this year, then guess what? I can sleep at night. If the best version wins 12, that’s freaking awesome, right? But just be the best version of us, that’s our expectation.”

Arizona State now has 18 commitments for the 2026 recruiting class that is starting to surge in the conference team rankings. Miree is the second tight end in the class joining California native Hayden Vercher.
