<a href="https://www.on3.com/db/cade-bennerman-238179/">Cade Bennerman</a>, a three-star center in the 2025 class, has committed to <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/northwestern-wildcats/">Northwestern</a>, he told On3. 



The 6-foot-11 senior out of Father Ryan High School in Nashville chose Chris Collins and the Wildcats over offers from Michigan, Cal, Penn State, and Tennessee State.



He becomes the fifth commitment to Northwestern this cycle, joining three-star PG <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/jake-west-236556/">Jake West</a> (No. 124 nationally), three-star PF <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/tyler-kropp-236606/">Tyler Kropp</a> (No. 175), three-star PF <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/tre-singleton-236672/">Tre Singleton</a> (No. 186), and three-star CG <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/phoenix-gill-238173/">Phoenix Gill</a> (No. 270). 



Bennerman is the nation’s No. 198 overall prospect, No. 20 center and No. 1 recruit from Tennessee in the 2025 cycle according to the <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/rankings/industry-player/basketball/2025/">On3 Industry Ranking</a> — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Cade Bennerman discussed his decision with On3. 



“From my visit and watching Northwestern play, I feel that I am a great fit for them. They will develop my skill set as a ‘strength big’ to the next level.”



What led to his trust in the coaching staff?



“They said they believe in me and believe that I can be a great player. Coach Collins and his staff’s recent tournament runs show that he is an excellent coach and motivator.”

“My game is unique. At 6’11”, I can handle the ball, shoot and score from all levels, rebound and provide rim protection.”
