Oregon inks 5-star WR Jalen Lott
Oregon has officially signed Rivals 5-star WR Jalen Lott.
The Texas legacy and standout two-way playmaker is one of the most explosive prospects in the country.
The Ducks made an early splash in Lott’s recruitment as a freshman, and those connections have continued to evolve and strengthen.
Lott was bullish on the idea of carving out his own path with the Ducks. Figures like Dan Lanning, Ross Douglas and the entire coaching staff made that even more tangible.
“Being there at Oregon, football is the main thing,” Lott told Rivals of his commitment to Oregon. “I can walk around and make a name for myself, especially if I’m playing early and with all of the resources available to me there … If I ball out and make a name for myself, everything will fall into place. It will all gravitate toward me.”
“I don’t want anything handed to me,” Lott added. “I wanna shake it up and make a name for myself.”
Texas hosted the 5-star WR in September for an unofficial visit. LSU and Miami also continued to swing away here.

Lott returned to Eugene to catch the Ducks defeat USC in Autzen.
“Coach Lanning and coach Ross (Douglas) are great guys. Playing under them, I can really separate myself,” Lott has said.
The blue-chipper from Texas has a strong connection with Oregon freshman Dakorien Moore, who provided rave reviews of life as a Duck.
“Because of our previous relationship, I feel way more comfortable being up there with Dakorien,” Lott detailed. “Being there at Oregon, football is the main thing. I can walk around and make a name for myself, especially if I’m playing early and with all of the resources available to me there.”
Scouting Summary
“Oregon commit Jalen Lott (No. 16) is one of the most athletic wide receiver prospects in the 2026 cycle and is in the midst of a big senior season at Frisco (Texas) Panther Creek. The 6-foot, 170-pounder is a high volume target who is a dangerous as a deep threat and after the catch. He’s an explosive long-strider who covers ground quickly. Lott is also competitive in contested catch situations. Through 11 games this fall, he’s caught 76 passes for 1,200 yard and 19 touchdowns, while increasing his yards per catch from 13.1 as a junior to 15.8 as a senior. Lott doubles as a defensive back and has high-end upside on that side of the ball, as well. On the track, he’s a state champion in the long jump (24-3.75 feet) and a 7-0 foot high jumper.” — Charles Power, Director of Rankings and Scouting
