With the college football season rapidly approaching, the 2026 recruiting cycle is way ahead of schedule. Many of the nation’s top prospects have already announced their college decisions. The Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings have fluctuated all summer long as commitments come left and right. To no surprise, though, the SEC is featured plenty around the top of the table.

Five SEC programs currently boast recruiting classes ranked in the top 10 nationally, while an additional six are scattered throughout the top 30. As of Aug. 11, it’s Georgia that reigns atop the conference rankings.

Below are the top 2026 recruiting classes in the SEC to date, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings:

1. Georgia — 93.058

31 total commits
2 five-stars | 22 four-stars | 7 three-stars
Top Commit: QB Jared Curtis, No. 5 NATL. (No. 2 QB)
National Class Ranking: No. 2

After a lowkey spring, Georgia hit the gas on the trail and is once again in a familiar position, pushing for the top spot in the national team rankings. Curtis’ re-commitment kicked things off in early May. He’s one of 14 top-200 prospects in the class and headlines alongside five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro. Big-time summer additions include the nation’s No. 7 CB Justice Fitzpatrick, the No. 8 OT Ekene Ogboko, the No. 6 DL PJ Dean, the No. 13 RB Jae Lamar, No. 10 CB Caden Harris, the No. 7 TE Brayden Fogle and the No. 13 LB Shadarius Toodle

2. Texas — 92.483

21 total commits
3 five-star | 12 four-stars | 6 three-star
Top Commit: QB Dia Bell, No. 4 NATL. (No. 1 QB)
National Class Ranking: No. 5

Texas has been the hottest team on the trail this summer. The Longhorns beat Georgia twice on July 15, winning out for Peach State five-star LB Tyler Atkinson and then flipping Rivals five-star DL James Johnson. The nation’s No. 2 RB Derrek Cooper has since pledged, too. That elite trio, along with Bell, the top QB in the cycle, as well as five-star EDGE Richard Wesley, form a stout top of the class in Austin. Four other top-150 prospects are in the mix, too. Steve Sarkisian and Co. have their sights set on the nation’s top class once again.

3. Texas A&M — 92.471

27 total commits
1 five-stars | 20 four-stars | 6 three-stars
Top Commit: CB Brandon Arrington, No. 10 NATL. (No. 1 CB)
National Class Ranking: No. 6

After lurking in and around the top 10 for a majority of the spring, Mike Elko and the Aggies have surged this summer thanks to four commitments from top-100 national prospects. Arrington chose A&M over Oregon on June 19. That came two days after elite four-star running back KJ Edwards, the No. 4 RB in the nation, did the same. Four-star EDGE Tristian Givens then jumped in the boat on June 21. Four other top-100 recruits are in the class — EDGE Bryce Perry-Wright, wide receiver Aaron Gregory, RB Jonathan Hatton Jr. and cornerback Victor Singleton — headlining an elite haul in College Station.

4. Alabama — 92.231

21 total commits
4 five-star | 9 four-stars | 8 three-stars
Top Commit: S Jireh Edwards, No. 16 NATL. (No. 2 S)
National Class Ranking: No. 7

Alabama rivals Texas for having the best summer on the trail to date. The Crimson Tide have swung and connected with just about every top target across the last couple of months. Edwards headlines the nine top-100 prospects in the class. The nation’s No. 2 LB Xavier Griffin, the No. 3 WR Cederian Morgan, No. 3 RB Ezavier Crowell and No. 3 DL Nolan Wilson have all committed since June. The No. 3 CB Jorden Edmonds helped spur some momentum with a pledge back in March. As time marches on, Bama’s class will continue to look better and better thanks to the quartet of five-stars.

5. LSU — 92.187

18 total commits
2 five-stars | 12 four-stars | 4 three-star
Top Commit: ATH Lamar Brown, No. 2 NATL. (No. 1 ATH)
National Class Ranking: No. 8

Brian Kelly and Co. plucked an early pledge from five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys in March and are fending off other major powers looking to flip him this summer. Brown, a two-way lineman, chose the hometown Tigers over Texas A&M in July and now ranks as the No. 2 overall prospect in the cycle. He and Keys are two of 11 top-200 recruits in the fold for head coach Brian Kelly. EDGE Trenton Henderson and DL Richard Anderson will both flirt with five-star status this fall, while top-100 DL Deuce Geralds is the newest addition to the fold.

6. Tennessee — 90.839

22 total commits
1 five-star | 11 four-stars | 10 three-stars
Top Commit: QB Faizon Brandon, No. 11 NATL. (No. 3 QB)
National Class Ranking: No. 12

Tennessee hasn’t been as scorching hot as others on the trail this summer, but they have added some important blue-chippers at the top of the class alongside Brandon, who has been committed since last August. July brought four commitments from top-100 prospects: ATH Salesi Moa, ATH Joel Wyatt, LB Brayden Rouse and LB TJ White. WR Tyreek King is Rivals’ No. 9 receiver and is the top in-state commit in the mix on Rocky Top. OT Gabriel Osenda, EDGE Zach Groves and DL Dereon Albert are some of the other top prospects in the class to date.

7. Florida — 90.568

0 five-stars | 13 four-stars | 5 three-stars
Top Commit: DL JaReylan McCoy, No. 108 NATL. (No. 11 DL)
National Class Ranking: No. 14

Florida didn’t pick up steam on the trail until the weeks leading up to signing day last cycle. That’s not the case for the Gators’ 2026 class. All but one commit in the class has pledged since the beginning of June. McCoy and Kendall Guervil are the nation’s No. 11 and No. 12 D-linemen, respectively. CB CJ Bronaugh flipped from Nebraska, while EDGE KJ Ford chose the Gators over Texas. Four other Rivals300 recruits are in the class, including RB Carsyn Baker and WR Marquez Daniel.

8. South Carolina — 89.619

0 five-stars | 9 four-stars | 6 three-stars
Top Commit: DL Aiden Harris, No. 74 NATL. (No. 5 DL)
National Class Ranking: No. 17

Local recruiting wins have buoyed Shane Beamer’s pledge list this summer. Four of the top-10 players in the Palmetto State are pledged to the Gamecocks, including top-100 safety J’Zavien Currence and Rivals’ No. 1 IOL Zyon Guiles. Blue-chip twins Aiden and Andrew Harris provided a spark at the beginning of June, while the nation’s No. 8 QB Landon Duckworth re-joined the fold on July 18. All but two of the commits in the class hail from either South Carolina, North Carolina or Alabama.

National Class Ranking: No. 19

Williams is the top-ranked LB in the Rivals300 and is now in the mix for the Rebels following a May flip from Florida. RB Damarius Yates and WR Corey Barber also chose Lane Kiffin and Co. that month and help headline the Ole Miss class to date. Texas EDGE Landon Barnes and TE JC Anderson are both top-200 prospects and top-20 players at their respective positions. Safety Craig Tutt and LB Anthony Davis are the latest blue-chip additions to the class.

10. Oklahoma — 87.878

Nine states are currently represented in the OU class. WR Daniel Odom is a top pass-catcher out of California. LB Jakore Smith and EDGE Matthew Nelson are both top-10 prospects in Arkansas.
