Clemson again slides in AP Poll

CLEMSON — For the second straight week Clemson (1-1) slipped in the Associated Press Poll, updated and released Sunday shortly after 2 p.m.

The Tigers fell from No. 8 to No. 12 in the poll after an unfulfilling 27-16 win over Troy on Saturday. The Tigers had entered that matchup as a 30-point favorite.
Clemson, which begins conference play vs. Georgia Tech (2-0) next Saturday in Atlanta (Ga.), began the season with a No. 4 ranking in the AP Poll.

Earlier Sunday the Tigers also dropped three spots in the US LBM Coaches Poll from No. 8 to No. 11.
