Alabama commits make their push for five-star OL Kadyn Proctor
Nick Saban and his staff at Alabama are welcoming a key visitor on campus prior to the beginning of the dead period.
With on-campus visits not being permissible from Monday until Jan. 12, the Crimson Tide will get one last shot at a priority target. Kadyn Proctor, a five-star offensive lineman committed to Iowa, arrived in Tuscaloosa on Friday and will be in town until Sunday.
Proctor is the No. 12 overall prospect on the 2023 On3 Consensus and the second-ranked tackle in the country.
Weekend Recruiting Central: Big visits on tap for Alabama
As such, this is a pivotal visit for Alabama.
The program landed in Proctor’s top two in the summer after hosting him for an official visit from June 10-12. Although the Hawkeyes earned Proctor’s commitment on June 30, Alabama offensive line coach Eric Wolford has stayed in steady contact and made multiple visits to see him this month.
Over the past few weeks, there have been two separate On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine picks submitted for a school to flip Proctor. Last month, ScoopDuck’s Justin Hopkins put in a prediction for Proctor to flip to Oregon; on Friday, On3 national recruiting analyst Jeremy Johnson put in a pick for Alabama to flip Proctor.
