It did not take long for Kadyn Proctor to make things official with Alabama.

A day after flipping his commitment from Iowa to Bama, Proctor officially signed with the Crimson Tide on the first day of the Early Signing Period. Proctor was previously committed to the Hawkeyes from June 30 to Dec. 20 of this year, but opted for Alabama for the next chapter of his football career.

Landing Proctor was massive for offensive line coach Eric Wolford and the rest of the staff. The On3 Consensus tabs Proctor as the No. 12 overall player in the country and the second-ranked offensive tackle.

As he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Proctor is excited to join the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

“I expect all of us to grow and to learn,” Proctor said. “Hopefully a lot of us get to play and get a feel for the fast paced games we will be playing in. But as far as the loaded class, we have some crazy good athletes and adding that superpower to the greatest coach of all time is dangerous. And I’m ready for it all. Not just ready for it all, we strive to come for it all.”

Proctor is slated to participate in the Jan. 7 All-American Bowl in San Antonio (Tx.) and enroll at Alabama that month.

Why Proctor chose Alabama (Full Story HERE): “The opportunity to come in and start for a national championship contender definitely raises some attention to me. I have always had a great time down there, and always kept Alabama in my back pocket. And then I went down there and I felt like it was the place for me to go truly in my heart. There was nothing wrong with Iowa. I just felt like I was settling for the comfortability and I was settling for knowing a lot of people there. But this isn’t about the people that I know, it’s about the people that I meet, and the opportunity that I take to go down there and be the best version of myself. I have great relationships with the players and staff and I want to work hard to earn what I get.”

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power’s analysis of Proctor (Full Story HERE): “Kadyn Proctor fills a big need for Alabama. When you look at Alabama’s roster in terms of offensive line depth, I think he provides a shot in the arm. Looking at Kadyn Proctor as a prospect, I think he fits what Alabama likes on the offensive line. He’s a bully at the point of attack. He’s very physical. I think he’s one of the stronger 2023 offensive tackle in terms of play style with the punch of his hands. It’s a really strong year along the offensive line nationally.”
