Alabama’s football program fell to 1-1 on the season with a loss to Texas on Saturday night. The Crimson Tide held the lead going into the fourth quarter, but were outscored 21 to 8 in the final period of play.

Following this game, BamaOnLine reached out to a handful of recruits to get their reactions. One of those was Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Julian Sayin, who committed to the Crimson Tide in November 2022. Sayin did not make it out to Saturday’s game, but shared his thoughts on Bama’s loss.

“Yeah, obviously not the outcome you wanted from Alabama, but I know they will clean their mistakes up,” Sayin said. “I thought the receiver room looked really good.”

BOL also spoke with several recruits who were in Bryant Denny-Stadium for this highly anticipated contest. Alvin Henderson, a Class of 2025 running back target out of Elba (Ala.), envisions the Tide bouncing back from this loss.

“Honestly, I didn’t know how Alabama was going to play because I know that without Bryce Young, it was going to be different… to me, it showed me what Bama needs to work on,” Henderson said. “I feel like they’re going to work on it and get it back right. I know Coach Saban is going to get everything back right.”
