Florida Gators land commitment from 3-star OT Chancellor Campbell
It’s well known that the Florida Gators are looking to sign a deep offensive line class this cycle. UF took its first step in addressing the position last weekend when the staff landed a commitment from top target G’Nivre Carr. The following weekend, the Gators added another big piece to the fold. This time, landing a commitment from Saint Petersburg (FL) Lakewood 3-star offensive tackle Chancellor Campbell. He’s been thought of as a lean to the Gators, and pulled the trigger coming out of his official visit.
Chancellor Campbell is the first commitment for UF at OT
The Florida Gators have been the RPM favorite for Chancellor Campbell for quite some time. Living a short drive away from The Swamp has made it easy for the big body tackle to be a frequent visitor. In total, Campbell has been to Gainesville double-digit times.
“It was kind of like, why not?” Campbell told Gators Online’s Corey Bender following the visit. “Florida, they’ve always been taking to me, and always been on track. Always messaging, calling, and Facetiming almost every day. They’ve talked to me and recruited me hard for like two years now. Since the start of my sophomore year. So, why not?”
Florida made Chancellor Campbell a priority target early
Standing at an impressive 6-foot-8, 310 pounds, Campbell is one of the more impressive targets on Florida’s offensive line board this cycle. He’s raw in some areas, but has grown quickly as a player in the last year. Florida saw Campbell’s upside early and has made sure to let him know he’s an important target for them, as other schools offered after them.

“Probably when I met up with all the coaches at dinner,” Campbell said of when he knew it would be UF. “Coach [Billy] Napier drove me from the hotel to the dinner at the O’Connell Center. That was great. If the head coach is driving you around everywhere and talking to you, that must mean they want you badly. I’ve wanted to come here from the start, but I just had to get some confirmation.”
Chancellor Campbell is commitment No. 5 for Florida
With Chancellor Campbell now in the fold, the Florida Gators now sit with five verbal commitments in the 2026 class. He joins Milton (FL) 4-star S Kaiden Hall, Tampa (FL) Jesuit 4-star quarterback Will Griffin, Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy 3-star IOL G’Nivre Carr, and Cleveland (OH) Glenville 3-star defensive lineman Jamir Perez.
The On3 Industry, a weighted average of the four major recruiting services, ranks Chancellor Campbell as the nation’s No. 435 Overall player. He took an official visit to Georgia this past weekend, but Florida ended this recruitment after their visit. He previously had trips to Ohio State and Penn State set for after his time in Gainesville, but says those trips are now off.
