The Florida Gators are back in the top 10 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

After some player-ranking tweaks were made this week from another network used in the compilation of these rankings, Billy Napier‘s program jumped one spot to No. 10. With college football’s February signing period set to begin Wednesday, Florida is ahead of programs such as Notre Dame (11), Florida State (12), Clemson (14) and national champion Michigan (15).

You can find the full team rankings HERE:

Florida has two 5-stars (quarterback DJ Lagway and defensive end/edge LJ McCray), 12 4-stars and six 3-stars among the Gators’ class of 20 players. All but three of them already are enrolled in classes in Gainesville.

(Note: At this time we do not think Florida will add to its class Wednesday, but in recruiting you never rule anything out)

The Florida Gators class has quantity and quality

Looking more closely at Florida’s current class, the Gators have an average player rating of 91.33 in the On3 Industry. That’s good for sixth-best in all of college football and is even significantly better than Miami (90.44), which has the No. 5 class with 27 signees.

Lagway is Florida’s highest-ranked member of the 2024 class. He checks in at No. 3 overall and No. 1 at the quarterback position. Lagway passed for 4,631 yards, 58 touchdowns and 6 interceptions while completing 72.1 percent of his attempts as a senior. And, he added 975 rushing yards as his team went 12-1. He won many awards, including Gatorade National Player of the Year.

Lagway enrolled at Florida in January. All four sites used for the On3 Industry Rankings named him a 5-star. On3 ranked him highest at No. 2.

McCray also is in the top 10 nationally; he’s at No. 10 overall and is the No. 2 defensive lineman.

Linebacker Myles Graham is another of Florida’s five top-100 recruits. He checks in at No. 57.

“It’s a good group top to bottom,” Napier told reports during his early signing period press conference in back December.

One move that helped the Gators jump up to No. 10 this week was the bump 247Sports gave Florida safety signee Gregory Smith to make him a 4-star. On3 made Smith a 4-star last year, but this move by 247Sports allowed Smith’s On3 Industry Ranking to improve to No. 261 in the country.

The On3 Industry player rankings are weighted as follows: On3: 35%, 247: 35%, Rivals: 20%, ESPN: 10%.
