Eli Robbins makes college decision
In-state defensive back Eli Robbins has made his college decision. The 6-foot-0, 190-pound Norwalk native has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity from the Iowa coaching staff and will play college football for the Hawkeyes.
“For me, I’ve been an Iowa fan my whole life, so when the opportunity presented itself, I didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger,” said Robbins. “Becoming a Hawkeye is a dream come true.”
As a junior, Robbins did a bit of everything for Norwalk, finishing the season with 28.5 tackles and four interceptions along with 1,384 all-purpose yards and 16 touchdowns. In college, the Class of 2026 prospect could play safety or cornerback at Iowa.

During the recruiting process, Robbins earned scholarship offers from Wyoming, Army, Air Force, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Illinois State, Western Illinois, Penn, and Dartmouth, but the chance to play at Iowa was too good to pass up.
“The opportunity was 100% worth it for me and my family,” Robbins said.
Overall, Robbins is the third walk-on commit for the Hawkeyes in the Class of 2026, joining Isaiah Oliver and Noah Daniel.
