Grant Glausser makes college decision

Record setting in-state running back Grant Glausser has made his college decision. The 5-foot-11, 202-pound senior from Western Dubuque High School announced today that he has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Glausser, who visited Iowa City on November 18, chose the Hawkeyes over a preferred walk-on opportunity from Minnesota and scholarship offers from Minnesota State, Wayne State, and Upper Iowa.

“I chose Iowa because they have a great program and I would like to prove that I can compete at the highest level,” Glausser told HawkeyeReport.com. “I believe I can achieve that at Iowa while getting a great education.”
A first-team all-state selection, Glausser put up ridiculous numbers for Western Dubuque this year, finishing the season with 334 carries for 2,909 yards and 33 touchdowns on the ground. Included in those stats was a 263-yard performance in the Class 4A state championship game, which broke a 31-year old record previously held by former Hawkeye Tavian Banks, a Bettendorf native.
