2024 San Marcos (Tex.) offensive tackle Ory Williams committed to LSU, he announced on Twitter. The three-star offensive tackle has a chance to finish as one of the nation’s top offensive linemen.

The Tigers beat out Florida, Texas, Texas A&M and numerous others for the 6-7, 285-pound offensive lineman. He’s the third offensive line commit for offensive line coach Brad Davis in the 2024 recruiting class, joining four-star offensive tackle Ethan Calloway and three-star Louisiana offensive lineman Khayree Lee.

On his official visit, Davis impressed Williams with his plan for him. The Tigers hosted him June 17 for an official visit. He also took Florida and Texas A&M official visits.

“It was great,” Williams told On3 after his visit. “He really showed me what he has set up for my development plan. It was nice. He’s already took that step to show me and help me progress and develop.”

Another piece that stood out to Williams was LSU sending players abroad for a service trip to Senegal.

“That really caught my eye,” he said, “because I want to do that and be that public figure to help people and look to for help.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Williams ranks as the No. 513 overall prospect in the nation, No. 31 offensive tackle in the country and No. 93 prospect in Texas.

The Tigers now have 20 commits in the 2024 recruiting class, which is surging as of late, having added four-star Many (La.) linebacker Tylen Singleton over the weekend.
