Matt McMahon has reeled in another high-level prospect to LSU, this time in four-star shooting guard Vyctorius Miller from North Hollywood, California. Miller had signed with Oregon back in November, but got out of his NLI a week ago, re-opening his recruitment and now committing to LSU on Thursday evening.

Rated as the No. 53 player in the country by the On3 Industry Rankings and the No. 13 shooting guard in the class of 2024. Miller is a 6-foot-5 scorer and a top prospect that solidifies McMahon’s freshman class as one of the best in the SEC for this cycle.

Miller is the nephew of rapper Master P and the son of Vyshon Miller, better known as Silkk the Shocker, a famous southern rapper. Miller played his junior season at Compass Prep in Arizona, but transferred back to Irvine Crean Lutheran for his senior season and eventually, made his decision to sign to LSU for his college basketball career.

Miller visited LSU on Sept. 8 with his family, on the same weekend as four-star forward Robert Miller who signed with the Tigers this fall as well.

“My family is all from there, and they just want me to stay home,” Victorious Miller said earlier in the process. “The NIL there would be crazy because all my people are from there. I like it; I like what they’re saying; I like their colors, all the tigers, and what all they stand for. Coach (Matt) McMahon believes in his players. If he rocks with you, he gives them freedom and will stay with you through thick and thin.”

McMahon and his staff were relentless on the recruiting trail throughout 2023, casting a wide net with contact or visits from over 15 top 100 prospects before narrowing in on their top targets and closing the deal.

Victorious Miller joins two more top 60 players in forward Robert Miller and point guard Curtis Givens to give LSU an incredibly strong freshman class.

The trio give new life to an LSU program on the rise from the ashes and McMahon further makes a statement that he is here to stay and looking to compete in the SEC long term. Miller was sold on the vision and with his skillset ready to flourish under McMahon.

“I want to play for a coach that I know will stick with me through thick and thin,” Miller said in August. “I’ll be a freshman coming in, so I want to play for someone that will let me learn through my mistakes. I don’t want to play for someone that I have to keep looking over my shoulder… I’ll want to play with the ball in my hands and for a coach that will let me be me. I think I’m at my best on the ball, making plays for my team.”

Miller has also signed an NIL partnership with Under Armour in February, further adding to his recognition and expectations going to college.
