LSU is paying another visit to watch Sarah Strong, the No. 1 prospect in the 2024 class, sources tell the Bengal Tiger. This time, Strong and her team at Grace Christian are playing in the state championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.

It will be the final game of Strong’s high school career and LSU assistant coach Gary Redus will be in attendance as the Tigers’ staff continues to recruit her down the stretch. Strong’s recruitment has been one with ample twists and turns with teams coming and going, with decision timetables passing, but with signing day in early April, the urgency is expected to pick up once her high school season ends this weekend.

Strong has been the No. 1 player in this class for most of the past year and as a senior, she continues to dominate, averaging 20.7 points, 16.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.8 steals. On Wednesday night’s semifinal game, Strong scored 32 points on 92 percent shooting in a blowout win.

LSU, UConn, South Carolina, North Carolina, Clemson, and others have all taken their shot at Strong, but nothing has stuck. LSU is hoping one final push down the stretch is enough to get the No. 1 player in the country and going to her game on Saturday night is a start.

Strong has taken all of her official visits already and knows what everyone has to offer, but the decision timetable is still murky. There’s hope from coaches and fans that she can settle in and decide eventually to allow teams to move onto recruiting 2025. She’s certainly a talent worth waiting for, though.
