It was announced that four-star guard Vyctorius Miller will be announcing his decision on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. PT/8 p.m. CT. Miller has a final five choices of Gonzaga, LSU, Oregon, USC, and G-League Ignite. Wednesday is the final day for the NCAA’s Early Signing Period.

The California native visited LSU in early September on an official visit alongside now LSU signee Robert Miller and Billy Richmond. LSU sources feel like things went in a positive direction for them in pursuit of the Hollywood native on the visit. He went to Oregon in May and then took a September visit to USC, but LSU has been at the forefront of Miller’s recruitment for most of 2023.

Miller is the No. 42 player in the country on On3’s Industry rankings and the No. 11 shooting guard in the 2024 class.

LSU has already signed the aforementioned Robert Miller along with point guard Curtis Givens, giving the Tigers a top 20 class in this 2024 cycle. The hope now for Matt McMahon and his staff is to push closer to the top 10 with the signature of Miller on Wednesday night.

“It was essentially a dumpster fire and we have to go about a methodical process of rebuilding it,” McMahon said in late October. “We were able to do that by signing a top ten portal class in the spring with six guys, then there’s an asterisk depending on what happens with Jalen Cook, We’ll end up signing a top 15 recruiting class in 2024. The other reality is there was an NCAA investigation hanging over the program that was a black cloud and made it very challenging to start a program over from scratch. That’s now complete and that’s now over.

“The perspective now is I love the direction we’re going. We’re going to recruit at a high level. We’re going to build an army of people that are going to support LSU basketball, as we rebuild the program moving forward.”

About Vyctorius Miller

Vyctorius Miller is the nephew of rapper Master P. He’s also the son of Vyshon Miller, who is better known as Silkk the Shocker, a multiplatinum artist who thrived with No Limit Records. Vyctorius Miller grabbed national headlines when he signed a NIL deal with Under Armour in February 2023 to promote the shoemaker’s new Spawn 5 Carnival Pack sneaker. Originally from North Hollywood, California, Miller played his junior season at Arizona’s Compass Prep. Because the school is not a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association, he does not have to follow the governing body’s NIL policy, which prohibits athletes from profiting from their publicity rights. Miller describes himself as the ultimate team player. “I make plays for my team, try to get my teammates going,” Miller told On3’s Jamie Shaw. “I watch a lot of the big guards, Shai Gilgeous Alexander and Cade Cunningham. They can facilitate, get to their spots easily, and get buckets.” During the UAA Next Emerson stop in November 2022, Miller averaged 14.3 points and four assists playing with the West Coast Elite program. Miller went on a dominant tear in his sophomore season, averaging 20 points, five rebounds and four assists a game to lead Irvine Crean Lutheran to the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs in 2021.
