Reaction: LSU routs Auburn 48-18 | Offense clears another hurdle & defense steps up

2025 Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve offensive lineman Devin Harper is already one of the top offensive linemen in America. The four-star prospect moved up even higher as On3 named him a four-star prospect.

He was in the On300, but now sits as the No. 210 overall prospect in the country, No. 14 interior offensive lineman and No. 5 prospect in Louisiana.

The 6-5, 287-pounder hears plenty from some of the top programs now that they’re able to contact him.

“Just speeding up. I’m getting calls and text messages every day,” Harper told On3 in late August. “I’m trying to go through that, find my real relationships with all the coaches from all the universities and see where I want to go. LSUTennesseeGeorgiaMichigan State and others. I’m still exploring my options. It might be at the end of this season or after it. I’m not letting it get to my head. I got a lot to improve on. It’s cool, but I know once I get there, it’s not going to be all glamour, it’s going to be straight work.”

Harper has worn LSU gloves throughout his junior season and the Tigers lead the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. It’s a whole staff effort for the in-state program, which hosted him again this past weekend.

“I like the staff and Baton Rouge is just a wonderful place. Coach Brad Davis, Carl St. Cyr, Sherman Wilson, JR Belton, all those guys. They’re on me heavy,” he said. “I feel the love from LSU so I like it there. They’re back. I know they have a few not standard LSU years, but now they’re back up there competing for a National Championship.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Harper ranks as the No. 214 overall prospect in the country, No. 12 interior offensive lineman and No. 6 prospect in Louisiana.
