2024 LSU commit and Zachary (La.) tight end Trey’Dez Green made a heck of a touchdown grab in his state championship game against Ruston. Check out the grab by Louisiana’s No. 1 prospect below.

It wasn’t the only grab for Green, who On3 holds in high regard. Green also made an acrobatic sideline catch, which you can see below as well. It wasn’t enough though as fellow LSU commit Ahmad Breaux and Ruston High captured the program’s first state title since 1990 with the 31-17 win.

Green caught a game-high eight passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. He earned Most Outstanding Player honors for Zachary.

Earlier this fall, On3 moved Green up from the No. 40 overall prospect to the No. 35 overall prospect. The third-ranked tight end is now the No. 2 tight end.

Trey’Dez Green scouting report

“High flying tight end prospect who plays above the rim on the football field as well as the basketball court. Highly rated basketball player who has serious bounce on the hardwood. 50-50 balls are closer to 70-30 for him with his ability to high point the football. Has rare body control and balance for someone his age with his size. Will have some growing pains as a blocker, but his ability to move and go up and get the football with his size is rare for the position. Arguably the top pass-catching mismatch early on in the 2024 cycle.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Green was the No. 37 overall prospect and No. 1 tight end in America. He’s also No. 2 in the Louisiana rankings.

On3 director of scouting Charles Power said LSU fans should be excited about what Green’s put together. He added weight in the offseason and is moving well with that added mass.

“Has a bounce to his step that he maybe didn’t have quite as consistently as a junior. He’s made some ridiculous catches so far,” Power said in October. “He’s a guy we’ve always been high on his upside as a big-time mismatch at tight end. He’s around 6-6, 230 pounds and has that above the rim basketball athleticism along with his bulk and ability to box out defenders in the air.”
