Michigan class of 2024 point guard commitment Christian Anderson has continued his scoring tear. He became Atlanta Lovett’s all-time leading scorer Jan. 9 with 1,572 points. On the same night, the 5-11, 26-points per game scorer (On3.com No. 124 consensus player nationally) scored 40 of his team’s 48 points in a loss to Atlanta Pace.

Anderson is averaging 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

He scored 27 in a 72-46 win over Stockbridge Jan. 10 and notched 16 points in a 51-36 Lovett victory over Luella Jan. 3.

Juwan Howard and his staff are after other guard and wing prospects in the ’24 class, as well. Here are the backcourt offerees and where things stand:

Caleb Williams

6-7 • 215 • SF

Washington (D.C.) Sidwell Friends School

On3.com consensus No. 110 nationally

Williams is from the DMV region where current Michigan players Hunter Dickinson, Dug McDaniel, and Terrance Williams once played. He grew up watching them play and spent part of his summer with the same AAAU team — Team Takeover — as the trio.

He visited Michigan in October and has the Wolverines very high on his list … he might well be the Wolverines’ best bet to join Anderson at this point.

Dylan Harper

6-5 • 180 • CG

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep

On3.com consensus No. 8

Harper, son of 5-time NBA champ Ron Harper and brother of former Rutgers standout Ron Harper Jr., had a great summer but really broke out at the John Wall Holiday invitational over Christmas. He averaged 28.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals in the tourney and continues to excel. He’s visited Duke, Rutgers, and Indiana and holds offers from Kansas, U-M and others.

This would be a tough get, but Michigan is in the mix.

Johnuel “Boogie” Fland

6-3 • 175 • PG

Whiteplains (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac

On3.com consensus No. 10

The On3 consensus No. 2 point guard nationally has only visited North Carolina and said he would “most likely” wait until his senior year to make a commitment. Kentucky, Auburn, Georgetown, Villanova, Oklahoma, Louisville, Michigan, Kansas, Indiana, and others have offered.

Michigan would have to get him on campus to have a shot.

Sir Mohammed

6-6 • 200 • SF

Lexington (Ky.) Myers Park

On3.com consensus No. 82

Sir is the son of Nazr Mohammed, an 18-year NBA veteran and former Kentucky Wildcat.

“I’ve been hearing a lot from Stanford, Villanova, Ohio State,” he said … “My recruitment is wide open.”

Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, NC State, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Providence, Xavier, and others have offered, and he’s visited

Stanford and Penn State officially, taken unofficials to Ohio State, Villanova, Virginia Tech, and NC State.

“Really any school that I’ve already been talking to, I’d love to get up there,” he says. “I’d love to go to Marquette, Michigan, Notre Dame, and a whole bunch of places.

“I think I’d describe my game as a guy that can really do anything you ask me to do on the court,” Mohammed says. “If you need me to handle the ball, I’ll handle the ball. If you need me to just go out there and set the ball screens, I’ll do it. You need me to shoot it. I’ll just do whatever I need to do to win.”

Travis Perry

6-1• 170 • PG

Eddyville (Ky.) Lyon County

On3.com consensus No. 87

Perry took an official visit to Michigan in September and has visited Ole Miss unofficially. He holds offers from U-M, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Iowa, Purdue, Creighton, Stanford, Nebraska, Wake Forest, Missouri, and Virginia.

“He is a heady, high IQ point guard,” On3’s Jamie Shaw said. “Perry has an advanced, fundamental skill base with solid size. The junior prospect knows the game, can really shoot the ball, and plays efficiently, within his means on the court.”
