Mississippi State transfer portal tracker (Updated April 22)
The spring transfer portal remained active Monday, just two days after Mississippi State finished off their final spring session. On Tuesday, senior quarterback Mike Wright and sophomore linebacker Khalid Moore both announced their decisions to enter the transfer portal.
Wright began his college career at Vanderbilt where he started 11 games during his Commodore career. This past season at Mississippi State, Wright played in all 12 games and had three starts. The Fayetteville, Ga., native completed 48 of 85 passes for 453 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Wright ranked third on the team in rushing with 324 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Moore, a former Poplarville High School standout, played in two games in 2023 as a redshirt freshman and did not total any stats. Moore redshirted in the 2022 campaign and did not see any game action as a true freshman.
Other Bulldogs to enter the transfer portal this spring include defensive lineman Caleb Bryant, cornerback Luke Evans, receiver Justin Robinson, safety Trent Singleton and punter Keelan Crimmins. The spring transfer portal window closes on April 30th.
Last week saw the Bulldogs collect their first spring transfer in former Miami of Ohio running back Rashad Amos. State then added Memphis cornerback DeAgo Brumfield this past weekend, as well, from the transfer portal.
