Notes on depth chart changes
— The biggest change of the week was redshirt freshman safety Brody Barnhardt being moved to starting strong safety. He made his first-career start at the position last week at Wake Forest, and that will continue moving forward. Barnhardt posted a career-best seven total tackles in the 34-24 win over the Demon Deacons.

In a corresponding move, graduate safety JJ Johnson is listed as the starting free safety in redshirt freshman Ronnie Royal III’s spot going into this weekend’s game. Royal started the first two games, while Johnson has started all three weeks.
— After being listed with an “or” last week at right guard, redshirt sophomore Kamen Smith appears as the full-time starter at the position now, in line to make his third start of the year. He is backed up by redshirt junior Val Erickson, who was healthy and dressed last week. Redshirt senior Yousef Mugharbil, meanwhile, is now listed as the backup left guard behind graduate Anthony Carter Jr.
