Pack pros: Bradley Chubb’s big day paces Miami Dolphins on Sunday night

It was a busy week for NC State’s Pack pros in the NFL — from outside linebacker Bradley Chubb’s big Sunday night performance against the New England Patriots to Russell Wilson’s Hail Mary touchdown against the Washington Commanders.

Here’s a look at how the Pack pros did in their games this weekend.

Center Garrett Bradbury (played at NC State from 2015-18), Minnesota Vikings: Bradbury missed Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a back injury. 

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett (2014-15), Washington Commanders: Brissett is the Commanders’ primary backup, and did not see action in the team’s 35-33 win over the Denver Broncos. 

Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (2014-17), Miami Dolphins: Chubb was the Dolphins’ third-leading tackler with seven tackles in the team’s 24-17 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday night. The outside linebacker recorded two tackles for a loss, including one sack, had a forced fumble and logged two quarterback hits in primetime to lead the Pack pros in week two.

Punter A.J. Cole III (2015-18), Las Vegas Raiders: Cole punted three times with an average distance of 49.7 yards in the Raiders’ 38-10 loss at the Buffalo Bills. He booted two of his three kicks inside the 20-yard line, and his longest kick was 53 yards. 

Offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (2019-21), Carolina Panthers: Ekwonu was a physical force at left tackle on the Panthers’ offensive line in the team’s 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. Ekwonu played alongside fellow Pack pro Chandler Zavala on the left side of the Panthers’ offensive line.

Punter Trenton Gill (2018-21), Chicago Bears: Gill recorded five punts with an average of 46.4 yards per attempt in the Bears’ 27-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of his five kicks, one was downed inside the 20-yard line, and his longest punt went 55 yards. 

Defensive lineman B.J. Hill Jr. (2014-17), Cincinnati Bengals: Hill logged three tackles in the Bengals’ 27-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. 

RB Nyheim Hines (2015-17), Buffalo Bills: Hines is out for the season with an injury suffered over the offseason. 

Safety Tanner Ingle, Los Angeles Rams (2018-22): Ingle is on the Rams’ practice squad.

Defensive tackle Justin Jones (2014-17), Chicago Bears: Jones recorded three tackles, including one for a loss, in the Bears’ 27-17 loss to the Buccaneers. 

Linebacker Vi Jones (2019-21), Seattle Seahawks: Jones was waived off of injured reserve by the Seahawks following an injury settlement.

Running back Zonovan Knight (2019-21), Detroit Lions: Knight was signed to the Lions’ 53-man roster Tuesday morning.

Cornerback Nick McCloud (2016-19, finished at Notre Dame), New York Giants: McCloud did not appear in the Giants’ 31-28 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill Jr. (2011-14), San Francisco 49ers: McGill plays on the 49ers practice squad.

Defensive tackle Alim McNeill (2018-20), Detroit Lions: McNeill played 54 snaps in the Lions’ 37-31 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He didn’t record a statistic and Pro Football Focus credited him with two missed tackles.

Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (2016-18), Las Vegas Raiders: Meyers missed the Raiders’ game in Buffalo due to a concussion suffered in week 1. 

Defensive tackle Larrell Murchison (2018-19), Los Angeles Rams: Murchison logged one tackle in just six snaps played during the Rams’ 30-23 loss to the 49ers. 

Cornerback Derrek Pitts Jr. (2021-22), Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Pitts played 17 snaps on special teams in the Buccaneers’ 27-17 win over the Chicago Bears. 

Linebacker Germaine Pratt (2014-18), Cincinnati Bengals: Pratt recorded the third-most tackles (nine) for the Bengals in the team’s 27-24 loss to the Ravens. He had the Bengals’ second-most solo tackles in the contest with seven. 

Defensive end James Smith-Williams (2016-19), Washington Commanders: Smith-Williams made one tackle in the Commanders’ 35-33 win over the Broncos. 

Defensive lineman Kentavius Street (2014-17), Philadelphia Eagles: Street played six snaps in the Eagles’ 34-28 win over the Vikings on Thursday night. 

Linebacker Drake Thomas (2019-22), Seattle Seahawks: Thomas played 15 snaps on special teams in the Seahawks’ 37-31 win over the Lions. 

Wide receiver Thayer Thomas (2017-22), Minnesota Vikings: Thomas is on the Vikings’ practice squad.

Offensive guard Joe Thuney (2012-15), Kansas City Chiefs: Thuney played 67 snaps in the Chiefs’ 17-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and received a 73.6 pass blocking grade, according to PFF. 

Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2013-14, Finished at USF), Kansas City Chiefs: Valdes-Scantling recorded two catches for 13 yards in the Chiefs’ 17-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. 

Quarterback Russell Wilson (2007-09/Finished at Wisconsin), Denver Broncos: Wilson was 18-of-32 for 308 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the Broncos’ 35-33 loss to the Commanders. The signal-caller also led the team in rushing with 56 yards on six carries. Wilson made a highlight-reel play at the end of the game, completing a Hail Mary touchdown pass that was tipped three times before it was caught. The Broncos’ 2-point conversion attempt failed at the end of regulation. 

Offensive guard Chandler Zavala (2021-22), Carolina Panthers: Zavala earned his second straight start of his rookie season in the Panthers’ 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night.
