Nebraska lands a commitment from Central Michigan transfer Ugnius Jarusevicius

LAS VEGAS – A day after landing its first 2025 portal commitment in Iowa’s Pryce Sandfort, Nebraska added another piece on Saturday with another transfer recruit.

Central Michigan’s Ugnius Jarusevicius, a 6-foot-10, 220-pound forward from Alytus, Lithuania, committed to the Huskers. HuskerOnline confirmed the news on Saturday morning.

Jarusevicius – whose nickname is “Oogie” – never visited Lincoln, as his NU recruitment was entirely virtual. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

After spending his first two seasons at Cal State-Bakersfield, the Class of 2022 prospect transferred to Central Michigan and had an impact junior season.

Jarusevicius averaged 16.2 points on 53.7% shooting and 7.3 rebounds to earn first-team All-MAC honors as a junior this season. He also shot a team-high 170 free throws at a 71% clip.

Jarusevicius has 640 points, 294 rebounds, and 29 blocked shots over his three collegiate seasons while shooting 48.6 percent from the field for his career.
