Justyn Rhett’s decommitment from Notre Dame did not change the Irish’s standing in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

Notre Dame’s 2023 class remains No. 2 nationally with Rhett no longer in it, the same as it was before the four-star cornerback from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman decommitted Saturday. Rhett is the No. 141 overall player and No. 15 cornerback, per the On3 Consensus. He’s the No. 31 corner in On3’s own rankings.

Notre Dame has eight commitments in its 2023 class and a 93.19 class score, which is behind USC for the top spot and ahead of No. 3 Georgia. The Trojans have three commits for a 95.17 score, while the Bulldogs have eight for a 92.47. The Irish’s highest-rated commit is EDGE Keon Keeley, a five-star recruit and the No. 10 player in the On3 Consensus.

The April 23 Blue-Gold Game is an important recruiting day for Notre Dame, which will host more than 20 visitors for it and the rest of the weekend. Keeley and several other 2023 commits are expected to visit, along with a few priority 2023 targets.

The Irish had the No. 6 class in the 2022 On3 Consensus.
