Notre Dame has made its fifth offer in the class of 2025 Thursday: Fairfax (Va.) center Christian Gurdak.

Gurdak transferred to Gonzaga College High School in Washington D.C. for the upcoming school year and season. On3 lists him at 6-foot-9. Gurdak was one of the best performers at the Nike Elite 100 camp in St. Louis on June 12, according to Scott Burgess of PrepHoops.com.

Aside from Notre Dame, Gurdak holds offers from Penn State, Iowa and Maryland. Interestingly, Penn State was his first offer — but that came in October, when Notre Dame coach Micah Shrewsberry coached the Nittany Lions. New Penn State coach Mike Rhoades re-offered Gurdak on Thursday, shortly after Notre Dame offered him.

Shrewsberry’s other class of ‘25 offers include point guard Azavier Robinson, center Malachi Moreno, power forward Trent Sisley and shooting guard Jalen Haralson. On3 has not assigned a rating to Gurdak yet.

As of Thursday, schools can now contact class of 2025 recruits directly. While this is likely an incomplete list, these are the players Notre Dame has reportedly contacted but not offered so far.

Along with class of 2024 commit Cole Certa (6-foot-5) and targets Kon Kneuppel (6-foot-5) and Sir Mohammed (6-foot-6), Shrewsberry seems to be a fan of combo guards and wing players who stand between 6-foot-5 and 6-foot-7.

In case you missed it: One class of 2024 visit completed; two ongoing

Notre Dame class of 2024 target Daquan Davis is set to make his decision Saturday, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. The 6-foot-1 point guard visited Notre Dame earlier this week, and he’ll decide between Mississippi State, Maryland, Providence and Notre Dame.

Mohammed and 6-foot-8 power forward Jackson McAndrew are in South Bend right now, going through a Sunday-Monday visit. Mohammed — the son of longtime NBA player Nazr Mohammed — told On3’s Joe Tipton in May that even though he’s listed as a small forward, Shrewsberry sees him as a do-it-all player on the perimeter.

““My relationship with Coach Shrewsberry has been great the whole time, even throughout the switch,” Mohammed told Tipton. “I love the staff there. (Shrewsberry) sees me as a lead guard who can do a lot on the floor.”

Any more targets for this year’s roster?

None that I’ve seen. But Notre Dame only has 10 scholarship players right now, assuming guard Alex Wade remains a walk-on. That number became official this week, with the team announcing the Tae Davis addition. Each team gets 13 scholarship spots each season.

We’ll see if Shrewsberry can add any more instant-impact players this summer.
