COLUMBUS — It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Ohio State has some of the top players in all of college football on its roster.

ESPN released its list of the top 100 players in college football, and the Buckeyes are heavily represented on the impressive list. There are six Ohio State players among the top 100 players in the country, according to ESPN.

The Buckeyes representation starts near the very top of the sport, as superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is the No. 3 player in the country, according to ESPN. He trails only USC quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.

Harrison Jr. had 1,263 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns last fall for the Buckeyes on his way to becoming a household name, a potential first-round draft pick and one of the top players in all of college football. He will lead the Ohio State passing attack as the primary weapon this fall. But he’s not the only receiver from the Buckeyes offense on the list.

Checking in at No. 13 is Buckeyes receiver Emeka Egbuka, who had 1,151 receiving yards for Ohio State last season and also projects to be a massive part of the offense this upcoming season.

Ohio State offensive weapons are all over this list, and that includes a pair of Buckeyes running backs. Star junior tailback TreVeyon Henderson is the No. 33 player in all of college football, even after an injury-plagued sophomore season in which he missed time throughout the year. Fellow tailback Miyan Williams, a fourth-year ball-carrier for the Buckeyes, is the No. 50 player in college football, per ESPN. That pair of tailbacks will lead the Buckeyes rushing attack this fall.

Of course, the Ohio State defense also has representation on the list of the top 100 players in college football. A pair of Buckeyes defensive playmakers will lead the way for this team. Senior captain and star linebacker Tommy Eichenberg made the list as the No. 47 player in the country. He led the Buckeyes in tackles last year and is expected to do the same this fall.

The final member of the list is junior defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, who checked in at No. 85 as the leader of the Buckeyes defensive line. He had a breakout performance last season against Penn State, a game in which he had six tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

All six will help determine whether Ohio State can finally get back over rival Michigan and ultimately win a national title this season. That’s why they’re all among the 100 best players in college football entering the 2023 season.
