COLUMBUS — Ohio State hasn’t necessarily rolled out the scarlet carpet compared to other programs in the January contact period.

But the Buckeyes are taking care of business on the recruiting trail this weekend as 2025 Cincinnati (Ohio) Mt. Healthy athlete Jaimier Scott will visit this weekend.

Scott is an unranked prospect in the 2025 cycle, but On3 has not yet rolled out its rankings for the 2025 cycle.

Scott is a two-way player for the Fighting Owls this past fall at wide receiver and cornerback. He already boasts a 6-foot-1, 178-pound frame with plenty of more time to grow into a bigger prospect.

He had 51 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Scott also scored 11 touchdowns. He earned Third-Team All-Ohio honors for his play this season.

The Buckeyes are recruiting Scott as a cornerback he tells Lettermen Row. This won’t be his first visit to Ohio State either. The rising junior visited on Dec. 17 and watched the Buckeyes practice at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center ahead of their Peach Bowl date with Georgia.

Scott holds 10 FBS offers including one from Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue and Cincinnati.

Ohio State has offered three cornerbacks in the 2025 class: Jontae Gilbert, Blake Woodby and Kevyn Humes.

Gilbert starred at Douglass High School near Atlanta this past fall and in the summer, he committed to Ohio State.

With his second visit to Ohio State within a month’s range, Scott is officially on offer watch.
