COLUMBUS — Ohio State is preparing for its own season to start as it’s going through its yearly preseason training camp.

The same goes for the Buckeyes’ commits, who were already entrenched with preseason activities before their future program started.

Lettermen Row is going to look at one important game for all 20 prospects in the 2024 class and for 2025 quarterback commit Tavien St. Clair, and 2026 wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr.

We continue with the offense and head over to the Hoosier state for a look at four-star New Palestine (Ind) offensive tackle commit Ian Moore. We’ll also look at three-star Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic interior offensive lineman Marc Nave.

The Final Go

There’s certainly an argument to be made that every high school football player’s most important game is their Senior Night.

For the No. 140 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings, that probably rings most true with Ian Moore. It was a relatively easy regular season last fall for New Palestine marked by an undefeated record until it lost to Roncalli in the Regional Championship.

Moore plays his final home game, and perhaps the most important of the regular season, on Sept. 29 against Shelbyville. The Dragons defeated the Bears 56-0 last fall.

Buckeye v. potential Buckeye

Marc Nave and Toledo Central Catholic are the reigning Ohio Division II State Champions and look to repeat to win the program’s sixth title.

The Irish lost only one game last fall, a 23-20 contest to the Division I State Champs St. Edward in week two. They don’t meet each other on the schedule this fall, but the Buckeyes will have a double scouting opportunity when Central Catholic plays Toledo Whitmer on Sept. 14.

2025 four-star offensive tackle Carter Lowe plays for Whitmer and it’s an excellent scouting opportunity for Justin Frye to see both Nave’s development and where Lowe is as well.
