Legacy Quarterback Set for Oregon Visit

One of the early fan favorites for Duck fans is from the 2025 recruiting class. But the name is oh-so-familiar for Duck fans already.

Lincoln (Calif.) quarterback Akili Smith Jr. is the son of former Oregon quarterback Akili Smith. The 6-foot-5, 200-pounder is one of the top early quarterbacks in his 2025 class. Currently Smith is the nation’s No. 70 ranked player and No. 5 ranked quarterback in his class per the On3 Industry Ranking.

Smith announced he will be at the Oregon Spring game this weekend as the star-studded list continues to grow daily.

Currently Arizona leads the On3 RPM for Smith. Oregon is just behind them by 5 points currently ahead of this visit.
