After a chaotic weekend filled with marquee upsets, the Oregon Ducks are officially back in the College Football Playoff conversation.

The Ducks, who cruised to a 49-10 road win at Colorado, greatly benefited from a handful of notable upsets and made significant leaps in both the AP Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll.

Oregon moved up to No. 6 in both polls, and now has every reason to believe that it has a chance to climb into the top four in the coming weeks. The Ducks were No. 8 in both polls last week but leapfrogged Alabama and Clemson, both of whom suffered upset losses on Saturday.

This marks the highest the Ducks have been ranked in either poll in 2022.

Oregon garnered 1,272 points in the Coaches Poll — just 12 fewer than No. 5 Tennesee and 83 points fewer than No. 4 TCU.

Elsewhere in the Pac-12, USC (No. 7), UCLA (No. 10), Utah (No. 13), and Washington (No. 23) all cracked the top 25. Oregon State also received three votes.

Meanwhile, in the AP Poll, the Ducks accumulated 1,258 points in the AP Poll while the Volunteers receivered 1,339.

USC (No. 8), UCLA (No. 9), Utah (No. 13), and Washington (No. 24) landed in the top 25 as well. Oregon State received three votes.
