With 5-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. choosing to stick with his two-year commitment to Ohio State Friday morning, the early singing period has come to a close for Oregon.

It wasn’t the result Duck fans wanted, but Oregon is still set to welcome a terrific class to Eugene for the 2026 season.

It’s also important to keep in mind that both of Oregon’s coordinators, Will Stein and Tosh Lupoi, were hired as head coaches before and during the early signing period. Despite all that, the Ducks were still able to hang on to all 21 of their commitments that they held when the early signing period started on Wednesday.

With the ink now dry, Oregon has officially signed five 5-star recruits in their 2026 recruiting class. That’s a new record for the Ducks, nearly doubling the previous record of three 5-star recruits last cycle when Lanning and company signed wide receiver Dakorien Moore, cornerback Na’eem Offord and safety Trey McNutt.

The star-studded haul is on pace to finish as the No. 3 recruiting class nationally according to the Rivals rankings. The headliners are 5-star Baltimore (MD) Georgetown Preparatory Academy offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, 5-star Reidsville (NC) tight end Kendre Harrison, 5-star Frisco (Tex.) Panther Creek wide receiver Jalen Lott, 5-star Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman safety Jett Washington and 5-star Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s Episcopal EDGE Anthony ‘Tank’ Jones.

Harrison was the first recruit of his caliber to commit to Lanning and company, making his pledge November 30, 2024 and the Ducks continued landing elite talent after him. Lott earned 5-star status in November just before the early signing period.

This marks the third straight cycle that Oregon finished with a top-five recruiting class. It’s the fourth straight year their class has finished inside the top 10. Oregon’s average commit rating of 92.32 is the highest in the country.

With the 2026 recruiting class now wrapped up, Lanning and his staff will turn their attention to the transfer portal and the upcoming 2027 recruiting class.
