Five intriguing prospects attending Penn State’s junior day
The weekend has arrived, but for Penn State’s coaches, the work is just getting started. With 2023 offensive lineman Chimdy Onoh set to begin an official visit later today, as well as linebacker Kris Jones taking an unofficial visit, James Franklin and the entire Penn State football staff will be busy Friday.
It ramps up even more tomorrow, with roughly 40 of the region’s top prospects headed to State College for the first of three junior days. That list includes over 20 players who have already earned a scholarship from the Nittany Lions.
Who stands out the most? I give my thoughts below.
CB Aaron Scott
It’s not easy to pluck away the top prospects in Ohio. While Penn State has plenty of momentum currently following its Rose Bowl win, Ohio State is still Ohio State. The Buckeyes have been the top dog in the conference for a decade now. Sure, Michigan is surging, but I’d still lean towards Ohio State as the team Penn State is striving to knock off.
